Rain and snow will wick through the felt and air dry once the weather clears, and the wool naturally helps keep the interior cool in summer and warm in winter. In a protected outdoor spot it can last for years. In direct sun, the colors will gently fade over time, but the shape will hold for more than a year outdoors and indefinitely indoors. Handmade by artisans in a fair trade production center in Kathmandu, Nepal, it is crafted from sustainably harvested wool with a jute hanging cord and bamboo perch.

How to clean?

It’s easy to remove old twigs and nesting materials from the handy clean-out hole in the base or through the entry hole. If the outside becomes soiled, a good brushing is usually all that’s needed. If it becomes stained, work the spot with water and mild soap, then rinse and air dry. Do not put into a washing machine or dryer.
