Looking for a statement piece for your home? Check out the Sequoia Table Lamp! This two-foot-tall lamp is slender and chic and makes a real impact in any room. It’s named for the sequoia tree, which is known for its incredible height and strength. The Sequoia Table Lamp is made by hand from real cocoa leaves, resembling the sequoia’s foliage, which are sourced using fair trade practices in the Philippines. The environmentally friendly leaves are dyed with non-toxic dyes, making the whole process eco-friendly. The lamp rests on a heavy metal base, just like the trunk of a sequoia, and has a foot switch for easy on and off.
Features fossilized cocoa leaves that are hand-placed on a standard UL lamp backing and then laminated using a non-toxic adhesive, creating each of the four sides of the lamp. The 18-inch-tall shade is framed in wrought iron, powder coated for durability, and sets on top of a six-inch tall, black, powered coated, wrought iron base. This base is supported by a solid, padded metal plate to ensure this piece is weighted and sturdy. The lamp can be turned on/off with an inline rocker switch.

The leaves used in our products are either collected after a tree naturally sheds them or are plucked from a living tree. In either case, the plant isn’t harmed. Additionally, the purchase of the leaves we use provides a secondary income to the framers who grow and care for plants.

We visit our manufacturers on a regular basis to ensure that our core mission is being followed.
Our products are produced in the Philippines, a country that is fast growing, and progressive on ensuring workers’ rights. It is also a country where many companies are run by women and their entrepreneurial efforts are encouraged.
The artisans who make our pieces are paid a living wage, provided quality housing, have access to continuing education, and work under dignified and safe conditions.
We Are Handmade
The lamp frames are constructed from wrought iron that is hand-manipulated and welded into the artisanal shapes. It is then sanded and finished with a powder coat.
Each leaf is placed by hand on a standard UL lamp backing. The backing adds durability and protects the shade from damage.
The handcrafted touch of artisan skill creates variations in color, size and design. If buying two of the same item, slight differences should be expected. Note: Color discrepancies may occur between this product and your computer screen.
